The Rehabilitation Research and Training Institute (RRTI) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization affiliated with the New York State Rehabilitation Association. RRTI promotes educational opportunities and research for the rehabilitation field and community providers serving people with disabilities.
Governed by a Board of Directors, RRTI was incorporated in 1991 to support the rapidly changing field of rehabilitation services and acts as a clearinghouse of information exchange, a catalyst to evidenced- based practices and a convener of timely and pertinent dialogue.

RRTI conducts stakeholder policy forums designed to provide information, promote understanding, and make recommendations to improve the technical features of new and ongoing state initiatives.
RRTI maintains active dialogue with state agency, industry and research partners that result in improved service delivery systems and positive outcomes for individuals with disabilities.
Through review of evidenced based research, RRTI develops and offers products for use by community providers and the rehabilitation field.

RRTI is backed by a highly credentialed pool of experts and has established an RRTI Trainer’s Council that convenes professionals to share knowledge about best industry practices.
RRTI supports educational opportunities on current topics for community rehabilitation agency executives, financial managers, clinical directors, program directors, program managers and supervisors, service coordinators, employment specialists, rehabilitation counselors and direct service staff. Technical seminars are offered that cross multiple service systems.
