Developing Paid Time Off Policies
As most employers know, there is one section of the Employee Handbook where employees refer to first and most often. That section would be the Paid Time Off and Leave policies.
Most employers are familiar with some version of a vacation or sick leave policy. How do they know whether they are giving too much or too little paid time off to be competitive? We all know that when disaster strikes, an employee will use whatever pool of time they have. And we see most employers going along with it.
A current trend combines vacation, sick and personal time into a single bank of days for employees to use to take paid time off from work.
This free webinar will discuss:
- Issues involving the development of paid time off policies
- Learning about current trends in administering paid leave policy
- Discussion on separate pools versus one pool of paid time off
- Disadvantages and advantages of separate pools versus one pool of paid time off
Participants will be given an example of a well-drafted Paid Time Off Policy.
